A VIOLET PINE project has been formed in 2010 by Beppe Procida, Paolo Ormas and Pasquale Ragnatela. The moving line of the band consists of heavy synthetizers and basses, a combustion with drum machines and acoustic drum and, again, guitars and piano crosses, meeting so the right sound they were looking for, embracing post-rock, dark-wave and psychedelic rock.
The band began writing and demoing their own songs almost immediately, playing throughout 2011 and 2012 in southern Italy.
In march 2011 they played to the Apulia's final session of one of the greatest italian music contest, Italia Wave, at Officine Cantelmo, Lecce (Italy).

, presenting a revised version of "Embryo" (Roger Waters, Works) and getting real positive comments by a great number of webzines.
In May 2013, the full-lenght album "Girl" has been released with the italian indipendent label "Seahorse Recordings" and distribuited by Audioglobe, accompained by several positive comments and reviews on papers and webzines and broadcasting on many italian radios. The official videoclip of "Girl", filmed by Ruggiero Scardigno and Max Dicorato, has been included in the CD's pack and is available on the internet. Recently has been released the second official video of the song "Sleep".
